Katie got her start in Austin, TX where she worked in one of the top bridal salons in the city. In 2016 she brought her bridal expertise and laid-back demeanor to the Hudson Valley and is thrilled to be serving the super cool brides of NY. She is consistently inspired by her client’s kindness and creativity and loves being a part of one of the most memorable days of their lives.
Katie is a born and raised New Yorker who has traveled all over the world only to wind up back in New York! She currently resides in Newburgh with her husband, their two kids; Marshall River and Leah Lynn and 2 chihuahuas! She is a full-time ‘mompreneur’ and she couldn’t love it any more.
Alana Schmidt

Alana’s passion for makeup and skincare came as a natural next step from her background in visual arts and education. She started her makeup career in 2012 working primarily on set in TV and print. Alana found her niche and started specializing in bridal makeup in 2016. She fell in love with making her clients look and feel beautiful all while getting to know them on a personal level. She is also committed to educating her brides on products, skincare, and wedding day beauty of which she is an expert.
Alana is a born and raised Hudson Valley girl with an everlasting love of the region. When she’s not doing makeup, she is traveling, doing CrossFit, or cheering on the Buffalo Bills (she is a bit of a football fanatic!). Alana currently resides in Highland, NY with her husband, gaggle of cats, and pitty Blue Cheese.
Melissa Marchesano
Hair Stylist
Melissa joined Kindred Beauty Co. in 2020 after moving to the Hudson Valley from Long Island. She is an expert colorist and stylist and got her start working in New York City and the Hamptons. Melissa has regularly worked with celebrity clients like Gwenyth Paltrow and Mariska Hargitay to name a few!
Her natural style and positive vibes make her a perfect addition to the Kindred team!

Allie Vasta
Makeup Artist
Allie has over 12+ year of experience working in the beauty industry. Her approach to makeup is enhancing a client's natural beauty. Allie is also an aesthetician with a passion for skincare which she incorporates into her makeup applications.
Her kindness and compassion radiates through her work - we are so lucky to have her on the Kindred team!

Arianna started her journey assisting and training with our lead makeup artist Alana. Over the last 6 years, she has blossomed into an amazing makeup artist who specializes in making clients feel their best and most beautiful.
Arianna's calming presence and nurturing spirit embody Kindred's values and help make wedding days fun and stress free!

Hair + Makeup Artist
Karen got her start in the beauty industry over 14 years ago. For the last 7 years she has worked with Kindred and has contributed her amazing talents as both a hair and makeup artist.
Karen's style is natural, soft, and elegant. Her kindness and care for her clients radiates through her work.

Baylee Paytner
Hair Stylist
Baylee's passion for hair styling started when she was just 10 years old. She loved practicing her hair skills on mannequin heads and knew that she was destined to become a stylist. She moved to New York from Washington State with her husband after graduating cosmetology school and has been working with brides ever since!
Baylee's priority as a stylist is to ensure that every client feels like the most beautiful version of themselves.
